Few-layer antimonene electrical properties

چکیده
Antimonene -- a single layer of antimony atoms and its few forms are among the latest additions to 2D mono-elemental materials family. Numerous predictions experimental evidence remarkable properties including (opto)electronic, energetic or biomedical, others, together with robustness under ambient conditions, have attracted attention scientific community. However, electrical is still lacking. Here, we characterized electronic mechanically exfoliated flakes few-layer (FL) antimonene different thicknesses (~ 2-40 nm) through photoemission electron microscopy, kelvin probe force microscopy transport measurements, which allows us estimate sheet resistance ~ 1200 $\Omega$sq$^{-1}$ mobility 150 cm$^2$V$^{-1}$s$^{-1}$ in independent flake thickness. Alternatively, our theoretical calculations indicate that topologically protected surface states (TPSS) should play key role FL antimonene, supports findings. We anticipate work will trigger further studies on TPSS thanks simple structure significant stability environments.

Few‐Layer Antimonene by Liquid‐Phase Exfoliation
We report on a fast and simple method to produce highly stable isopropanol/water (4:1) suspensions of few-layer antimonene by liquid-phase exfoliation of antimony crystals in a process that is assisted by sonication but does not require the addition of any surfactant. This straightforward method generates dispersions of few-layer antimonene suitable for on-surface isolation. Analysis by atomic ...
متن کاملFlake Electrical Conductivity of Few-Layer Graphene
The Kubo formula for the electrical conductivity of per stratum of few-layer graphene, up to five, is analytically calculated in both simple and Bernal structures within the tight-binding Hamiltonian model and Green's function technique, compared with the single-layer one. The results show that, by increasing the layers of the graphene as well as the interlayer hopping of the nonhybridized p z ...
متن کاملTemperature dependence of the electrical transport properties in few-layer graphene interconnects
We report a systematic investigation of the temperature dependence of electrical resistance behaviours in tri- and four-layer graphene interconnects. Nonlinear current-voltage characteristics were observed at different temperatures, which are attributed to the heating effect. With the resistance curve derivative analysis method, our experimental results suggest that Coulomb interactions play an...
متن کاملMechanical and Electrical Anisotropy of Few-Layer Black Phosphorus.
We combined reflection difference microscopy, electron transport measurements, and atomic force microscopy to characterize the mechanical and electrical anisotropy of few-layer black phosphorus. We were able to identify the lattice orientations of the two-dimensional material and construct suspended structures aligned with specific crystal axes. The approach allowed us to probe the anisotropic ...
متن کاملElectrical transport properties of single-layer WS2.
We report on the fabrication of field-effect transistors based on single layers and bilayers of the semiconductor WS2 and the investigation of their electronic transport properties. We find that the doping level strongly depends on the device environment and that long in situ annealing drastically improves the contact transparency, allowing four-terminal measurements to be performed and the pri...
